A Celebration of Chicago’s Jazz Community
For more than five decades, the Jazz Institute of Chicago has worked to nurture and promote jazz in all its forms while strengthening the city’s vibrant jazz community.
The Chicago Jazz Club Experience continues that tradition by connecting audiences directly with the musicians, venues, and neighborhoods that keep Chicago’s jazz scene thriving.
More than just a night out, this experience celebrates the living culture of jazz across Chicago while supporting the artists and venues who sustain the music year-round.
Age Requirements
While the Chicago Jazz Club Experience celebrates the city's vibrant music scene, many of our partner establishments serve alcohol and maintain strict age policies. For this reason, the full tour experience is primarily recommended for guests ages 21 and over.
However, we believe the music should be accessible to everyone. Through our Freestyle Pass Experience, guests under the age of 21 are welcome to participate at a selection of all-ages or "early set" venues, including:
Norm's Bistro
Jazz Showcase
(Please note: Valid government-issued ID is required for all guests at every location.)
Proceeds from this event support the Jazz Institute of Chicago’s mission-driven programs, many of which are free to the public through education, performance, and community initiatives across the city.
