2010 Made in Chicago: World Class Jazz

The celebrated Made in Chicago: World Class Jazz series returns to Millennium Park featuring Chicago’s leading jazz artists across the spectrum of jazz—from Latin to Big Band to experimental sounds—and includes world premiere commissions, international collaborations and centennial celebrations.  Presented by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs, the Jazz Institute of Chicago and Millennium Park, the free weekly series begins Thursday, July 29 and closes September 2, 2010.

Every Made in Chicago: World Class Jazz concert kicks off with a short set by young, aspiring musicians from Chicago area high schools as part of the Jazz Institute of Chicago's Jazz Links Student Ensembles.

Made in Chicago: World Class Jazz is presented with major support from the Chicago Jazz Partnership: The Boeing Company, The Kraft Foods Foundation, The Chicago Community Trust and The Joyce Foundation.  United Airlines is the Official Airline and the Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park is the Official Hotel of Made in Chicago: World Class Jazz.
