Straight from Norway, the hot new group Elephant 9 drops their debut album today entitled 'DodoVoodoo.' It features one of Norway's most accomplished keyboardists - Stale Storlokken, Torstein Lofthus on drums and Nikolai Haengsle Eilertsen on bass. It is a raucous blend of psychedlica rock and soul jazz running seven tracks. After checking this out, I think this could be up for one of the best releases of 2008...not just in the jazz genre.
