After a monster opening number, a Brian Lynch composition, I can only wonder "what might have been" if Brian Lynch had been the "director" for this show? The bar was set to high after the opening number and the rest of show only left me wanting more of his horn and compositions (or perhaps something more along the lines of what we heard from the opening piece). The rest of the show was kind of all over the place (A Celine Dion number, compositions sent to the director from someone who just died)?!?

Word to the wise here, keep this guy in mind for the next time Chicago hosts an Afro-Latin Jazz performance/night, or for that matter, anything at all!
