Jimmy McGriff, who since the early 1960s was one of the most popular
jazz and blues organists, died on Saturday in Voorhees, N.J. He was 72
and lived in Voorhees. Discuss his contributions and the fond memories jazz fans will have of this great man, either through knowing him personally or by being familiar with his extensive and impressive catalog.
