Scott Hall: Strength in Numbers

Scott Hall: Strength in Numbers

Scott Hall is the Hall in Hallway Records and represents the latest generation of musicians that owns and operates a recording label.

Scott can play the trumpet, flugelhorn and he writes nice tunes. This CD, recorded in 1996, is a courageous program of all originals; every tune has a different story to tell and takes you somewhere that you want to go. Not only is the program courageous, Scott does not surround himself with strength in numbers—a solid rhythm section only accompanies him: Karl Montzka on piano and organ, Larry Kohut on bass and Dana Hall on drums.

The performances here represent modern playing at it's finest. Scott Hall is contributing to the Chicago scene in many ways, find him and check him out. —MV
