July 20-24, 2009, The Jazz Institute of Chicago presents: STRAIGHT AHEAD -- Summer Jazz Camp for Music Educators. Featuring The Chicago Jazz Ensemble in residence at Columbia College Chicago, it will be an opportunity for music educators of all levels to study and play alongside renowned jazz artists and educators including The Chicago Jazz Ensemble Artistic Director Jon Faddis and its Executive Director J. Richard Dunscomb.
The camp will include seminars with notable guest clinicians, evening performances by The CJE, and a Chicago jazz cultural tour.
STRAIGHT AHEAD is designed to advance and promote
mastery of jazz for music educators of all skill levels and will include the opportunity to earn CPDUs. Check here for future updates and details.
