The Jazz Links Band Tour is a mutually beneficial program for young listeners and performers. The program provides performance opportunities for Chicago-based elementary and high school jazz bands, while offering free educational concerts for Chicago area public schools. The high school bands serve to inspire elementary school audiences by visiting neighboring schools. In addition, Jazz Links bands are given exposure by opening for seasoned jazz musicians at Chicago’s parks as part of Jazz City’s programs.
