Jazz Institute of Chicago

Jazz Institute of Chicago's Jazz Links Ensemble

What could possibly illustrate more clearly that jazz is on the rise than the Jazz Institute of Chicago's Jazz Links Jam Sessions held at the Chicago Cultural Center every month from October through May? Young, aspiring musicians from elementary and high schools throughout the Chicago area have been jumping at the chance to improvise with the pros and each other.  The very best jam session players comprise the Jazz Institute of Chicago’s Jazz Links Student Ensembles who along with Gallery 37 After Schools Matters Jazz Band will open each concert in the Made in Chicago: World Class Jazz series.

*held each night of the Made in Chicago series from 6:30pm to 7pm.
