The Chicago Jazz Ensemble of Columbia College has partnered with the Jazz Institute of Chicago to create the CJE Mentorship Program. Jon Faddis, internationally acclaimed jazz trumpeter and director of CJE interacts directly with the Jazz Links Student Council, offering mentorship and musical direction at a twice yearly pi zza party and jam session at his Chicago residence.

CJE members conduct master classes for Jazz Links Student Council members, and participate in the Jazz Links Jam Sessions.
