One of the greatest accomplishments of the Jazz Links Teacher’s Advisory Board is the revival of the Annual Chicago High School Jazz Band Competition. By joining with The Chicago Board of Education, the Jazz Institute has played a key role in the resurgence of this program.

Over fourteen high school and elementary schools and their band directors participate in the program, which showcases the talents of jazz bands and combos from across Chicago. The All City Jazz Band Competition is adjudicated by a diverse and talented group of artists and educators.
