Manny C. and Kyle S. at Jazz Links Jam Session
"Who could believe that I have played on the great stages of Chicago before I am even out of high school?" asks Manny C., an energetic young tenor saxophone player. His excitement is contagious as he prepares to test his improvisational mettle at a Jazz Links Jam Session, and he can't wait to be part of the opening act at the next JazzCity concert.
When Manny steps onto the stage he is not alone. Mentors, teachers, family and friends are right behind him. And so are generous donors like you.
- Mentors like jam session pianist Robert Irving III encourage Manny to build on his strengths and try new things.
- Teachers like Jazz Educator of the Year Philip Castleberry guide him from his classroom at Lincoln Park High School to the annual jazz band competition, from student Jam Sessions to the Chicago Jazz Festival and beyond.
- And appreciative individuals like you contribute to the Annual Fund to ensure that the great jazz legacy of Chicago will inspire our lives for many generations to come.
Our goal is to raise $19,000 by December 31st. Contributions of all sizes will make a difference!
Thank you for supporting Jazz in Chicago,

Please make a gift this holiday season.
Manny is lucky to have the backing of his family and friends in pursuing his dreams. And he is lucky to have you. For without generous individuals who support such vital programs, none of this would be possible.
